Itinerary

Day 1
Day 1 - Hanoi - Ha Giang

The day starts with a 6 AM pick up at your hotel in Hanoi before making the 6-hour journey to Ha Giang. Once you're out of the city, you'll enjoy the fantastic scenery along the way. While passing the paddy fields and rural villages, your English-speaking tour guide will educate you on the history and culture of the area.

After arriving in Ha Giang, you'll enjoy a wonderful lunch inspired by the local cuisine before heading to Quan Ba. You'll pass Quan Ba Twin Mountains, two perfectly shaped and identical mountains standing in the middle of vast green paddy fields.

You will continue to Lung Tam village, a small native town famous for its hemp weaving. You will learn how to weave fabrics from local hemp crops and get a feel for the culture of the ethnic minorities living in Lung Tam and the nearby villages while enjoying the stunning beauty of the valley.

Once you get back to Quan Ba, you'll check into the hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner, and explore the fascinating town and the nearby area.

Day 2
Day 2 - Ha Giang

Your second day starts early with breakfast before embarking on an action-packed day. Your first destination will be the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. This magnificent area borders with China and is dotted with limestone mountains and overrun with beautiful flora.

From the Geopark, you'll head to H'mong King Palace—the palace of H'mong king who used to rule Ha Giang—and the Lung Cu Flagpole, a 30-meter flagpole that marks the northernmost tip of Vietnam.

Next, you'll enjoy a tasty lunch at a local restaurant in Lung Cu before visiting Lo Lo Chai Village and learn about the Lolo ethnic group. In Lo Lo Chai Village, you'll enjoy the fresh mountain air and peaceful surroundings while sipping on local coffee at the Cuc Bac Café.

After taking in the unique culture of the Lolo people, you'll head to Dong Van Ancient Town and check into your hotel. There you'll enjoy a wonderful dinner, sample the local cuisine, and then spend the evening discovering this charming old town.

Day 3
Day 3 - Ha Giang - Hanoi

Your third and last day starts with a breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, you will visit the local families to experience the culture of Dong Van.

The town of Dong Van is home to a unique culture made up of a mixture of the H'Mong, the Lo Lo, the Tay, and the Nung.

Next, you go exploring Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most famous passes in Vietnam. The 12-mile (20 km) Ma Pi Leng Pass is a spectacular mountain pass connecting the rural towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac.

After discovering the beauty of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, you'll have lunch before making the 6-hour drive back to Hanoi. Once in Hanoi, you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
