Description

The tour starts with a pick up at your hotel, from where you'll be driving 28 miles (45 km) to the ever serene Duong Lam, an ancient village in Son Tay, Hanoi.

The Duong Lam is famed for the 300-year old French colonial houses with which the village is dotted, beautiful pagodas, and its rustic charm.

Visiting Duong Lam is said to be like traveling centuries into the past, to place where time has stood still.

First, you will visit Mong Phu, a 500-year old temple that perfectly exemplifies the astonishing Viet-Muong architecture. Mong Phu temple is also famous for its two ancient wells that are said to be the eyes of a dragon.

Next, you'll jump on a bicycle and take the fishbone brick roads to arrive at Giang Van Minh, an ancient house of worship.

From there, you'll cycle to the temples of King Ngo Quyen and King Phung Hung. The two great monarchs were born in Duong Lam and still live in Vietnamese folklore.

The last part of your journey takes you to lunch with a local family. There, you'll feast on a delicious meal, inspired by the local Duong Lam cuisine, and really get to experience the local culture of Duong Lam.

After enjoying lunch, you will head back to Hanoi for a drop off at your hotel.
