Day 1: Hanoi-Sapa | 7-10 km trek
The day will start at 7:00 AM from your hotel in Hanoi where you will be picked up and directly transferred to Sapa. You will arrive in Sapa at around 12:30 PM where your guide will greet you. You will then eat lunch at a local restaurant and relax a bit before setting off on the hike. Around 14:00 you will depart with your guide on the hike. The first leg of the hike is on the road but very soon you will branch off onto a small path which leads down into the valley. You will be hiking along the Muong Hoa River and visit the Black H'mong village of Cat Cat. In this village you will get to experience a perfectly preserved H'Mong ethnic village that still maintains the same customs and practices of previous generations. The day will be spent hiking along these stunning mountains some reaching up to 3000 meters and wandering through illuminating rice paddies and H'Mong houses scattered along the way. You will then return to the town of Sapa and have a chance to visit the Sapa daily market following a 7- 10 km trek. You will then spend the night in a hotel in Sapa.
Day 2 | Trekking in Sapa | 15-17 km Trek
Today you trek to the rice paddy fields, flower valleys and Black Hmong villages located deep in the mountains of Sapa. You will be surrounded by stunning panoramic views all day and stroll through more local ethnic villages and experience the daily life of the locals living in the mountains. You will be treated to a lunch prepared with local ingredients in a restaurant and then you will head to the rice terrace fields to Ta Van Village of Zay people and get an introduction to their culture and history. This is the largest valley in Sapa and features the most stunning rice fields in the whole Sapa region. Here you will spend the night in a home stay in Ta Van Village, the home stay offers stunning panoramic views of this valley and will surely be one of the highlights of this entire trip.
Day 3 | Sapa to Hanoi | 7-10 km Trek
You will wake up to the fresh mountain of air deep in the mountainous valley of Sapa from your home stay this morning and enjoy a locally prepared breakfast. Trek to Giang Ta Chai Village and meet some of the Red Dao community and receive an introduction to their culture and history. Following this a car will collect you from the village and take you back to Sapa Town. Stop for a lunch at a restaurant and enjoy some free time in the afternoon in Sapa before you head off at 15:00 to be driven back to Hanoi. You will arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi around 20:30.
