Your day will begin with a complimentary pick up from your hotel in Da Nang. Your English speaking guide will greet you and brief you on the day's activities before driving you to your destination.
The journey between Da Nang and Hue takes you through one of the most visually stunning areas of Vietnam, The Hai Van Pass. You will make a stop to marvel at the mountainous coastal scenery that was immortalized in the popular television show Top Gear.
You will also make a stop at Lang Co Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Vietnam. You will get a moment to walk on the white sands or hop into the turquoise ocean water.
Your first stop in Hue will be a visit to the Khai Dinh Tomb. The tomb is a stunning blend of Western and Eastern architecture constructed between 1920-1931 in memory of Khai Dinh, the last emperor of Vietnam.
Then, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local specialty restaurant serving Hue style cuisine.
Continue to Hue's main attraction, the Imperial Citadel. Once the home of the Nguyen Emperor, the Citadel also contains the Forbidden Purple City. Your guide will walk you through the Citadel, detailing the history of the many emperors who lived here.
Then you will explore Thien Mu, Hue's largest pagoda, and the city's unofficial symbol. It was constructed in 1601 and has ever since been the subject of folklore and legend.
Complete your tour with a cruise along the Perfume River on a Dragon boat, taking in the peaceful scenery of this historic city.
You will arrive back in Da Nang at around 6:30 PM.
