Once in Sapa, you will check into a hotel (early check-in subject to availability) and eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant. You are then free to enjoy exploring the town. You will commence your journey from Sapa, initially by car, to the hill tribe villages of Lao Chai, home to the H'mong ethnic minority community. As you walk on past the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, you will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa and have lunch at a local house. You will then trek through terraced rice fields from Lao Chai to Ta Van village of the Giay minority people. In the village, you will have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the local families. You will return to Sapa Town by car in the late afternoon where you will have dinner and spend the night in the hotel.

Day 2: Climbing Fanispan

After fueling up on breakfast at the hotel, you will start the trip to conquer the roof of Vietnam and Indochina: Fansipan Peak. At about 09.30, you will take a bus (17km) to Tram Ton Pass, the highest pass in Vietnam located at 2,100m above sea level. You can visit the Silver Waterfall en route. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and then begin the strenuous trek to the peak.
