On the 8-hour train ride, you'll be in a comfortable 4-people soft sleeper cabin equipped with air conditioning.

You will arrive at the Lao Cai train station, near the most famous town in Lao Cai, Sa Pa. Lao Cai province is renowned for its fantastic nature, tall mountains, rivers, rice terraces, caves, and ethnic hill tribes, particularly the Hmong, Nung, and Tay people.

Day 2

You will arrive at Lao Cai train station at around 6 am. Outside the train station, a vehicle will be waiting to take you to Sa Pa, a 20-mile (33 km) drive. In Sa Pa, you'll have breakfast, check into the hotel, and explore this famous town, nicknamed Queen of the Mountains.

Late morning, you'll head to hill tribe village of Lao Chai, home to the Hmong ethnic minority. You will enjoy a traditional lunch with a local family. After lunch, you'll trek the rice terraces from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where you'll learn the history and culture of the Giay people.

From Ta Van village, you'll head back to Sa Pa for a delicious dinner before going to the hotel and relax ahead of tomorrow's challenging day.

Day 3

From Silver Waterfall, you'll start the 6-hour strenuous trek up to 7,200 feet (2,200 meters). The trek will take you through amazing scenery, primitive jungles, across the numerous small streams, and bamboo forests.

Once you arrive at the overnight camp, you'll pitch your tent, have dinner and spend the night on the 10,000 feet high Fansipan mountain, nicknamed the Roof of Indochina. You will spend the night surrounded by fantastic nature and astonishing wildlife.
